Malpro Oman Silicates is equipped with state of the art facilities to manufacture silicate products through Furnace and Hydrothermal processes. Neutral / Alkaline grade Sodium silicate solid / cullet is manufactured by Furnace process and dissolved for appropriate spec requirements with caustic lye inclusions (optional). Lower ratio's alkaline grade sodium silicate liquid is manufactured by Hydrothermal process.
SODIUM SILICATE SOLID
Sodium silicate solid otherwise sodium silicate cullet (MALOM SG), is produced with Furnace process by fusing Silica sand / Quartz with Soda Ash ( sodium carbonate ) at temperatures above 1350 C and is available in Glass, anhydrous and hydrated grades. These are water soluble and are also known as Water Glass.

Sodium Silicate Liquid is produced by dissolving silicate solids with water or by Hydrothermal process which is produced by reacting caustic lye and fine crystalline silica in autoclaves under intense pressure. SODIUM SILICATE POWDER / SODIUM DI SILICATE
Malpro Oman Silicates manufactures Sodium Silicate powder (MALOM PG) ranging in different chemical compositions for applications in foundry, Detergents, Refractory, paints and others.
The process for preparing sodium di-silicate having a high ion-exchange capacity and a molar ratio Na2O : SiO2 of about 1:1 from a silicate source and sodium hydroxide solution at elevated temperature, with the product formed being separated off by filtration, wherein the product is further heat treated and spray dried at from 450° to 780° C and/or is granulated to form compact parts.

SODIUM META SILICATE
Malpro Oman silicates produces Sodium meta silicate by fusing sodium carbonate with silicon dioxide or silica sand at about 1400 °C. It is available in various grades and in both the anhydrous and pentahydrate forms.
Sodium meta silicate is used in fireproofing mixtures; in laundry, dairy, metal, and floor cleaning; in de-inking paper; in washing carbonated drink bottles; in insecticides, fungicides, and antimicrobial compounds; as a chemical intermediate for silica gel catalysts; as an additive in soaps and synthetic detergents; as an ingredient in adhesives; as a bleaching aid; and as a boiler compound. Combined with other salts such as sodium bicarbonate, it can be applied to aluminum as a paint stripper.
